Coat: Thick and smooth – comes in several colors, often gray, brown, or white
Weight: Approximately 8–10 kg, about the size of a small dog
Sounds: Very quiet – mostly communicates through body language
Favorite food: Hay, carrots, leafy greens, and the occasional piece of fruit
Speed: Can surprise with quick hops, but mostly enjoys taking it easy
Herd: Prefers the company of other rabbits – social and secure in a group
Origin: Bred in Belgium in the 1800s, primarily for meat and fur

Athletic hoppers

Despite their size, Flemish Giants can jump over a meter in a single bound. Not bad for a rabbit with such big feet!

Built-in air conditioning

Their long ears aren’t just cute – they help regulate body temperature. Blood in the ears cools down when the rabbit gets warm.

Secret language

They don’t say much, but they still communicate. Giant rabbits use their ears, body language, and sometimes a thump of their hind legs if something feels suspicious.
