Weight: 30–60 kg
Sounds: Grunts, snorts, and the occasional happy oink
Favorite food: Vegetables, fruit, and roots
Speed: Faster than they look!
Herd: Prefer companionship, both with other pigs and humans
Origin: A domesticated version of the wild boar, bred to stay small
Behavior: Social, curious, and love rooting around – especially if something tasty is hidden in the ground.

Surprisingly smart

Mini pigs are very clever – they can learn tricks, recognize their names, and solve simple problems. Their intelligence is comparable to that of dogs (and sometimes even children!).

Cleaning experts?

Contrary to popular belief, pigs are very clean animals. They carefully choose where they sleep, eat, and go to the bathroom – often keeping their resting area cleaner than many people do.

Excellent hearing

Mini pigs hear much better than we do. They react quickly to small sounds and can detect the rustle of a fruit bag from far away. So there’s no point trying to sneak treats – the mini pig will know!
